How to become a successful Consultant/Freelancer

We will look at the pros and cons of being a successful consultant/freelancer and how to build a successful business based around what you have to offer. At the end of the module you will have:

• Discussed the pros and cons of being self employed
• An understanding of how freelancing differs from being an employee
• An understanding of the skills and knowledge needed to develop your idea
• The knowledge to undertake a SWOT analysis of your business idea (strengths, weaknesses, threats, opportunities)
• Ideas on how you might market yourself
• Knowledge of what HMRC and other bodies expect you to comply with
