You are Sunshine!

I am popping in today, to share a card I made for Ellen Hutson’s Mix It Up Challenge! I am so glad I snuck this in! I enjoy combining products I like so much!

For this card, I used Ellen Hutson’s All Inside and Avery Elle’s Hello Stamp. I’d venture to guess, this AE set is long retired (?), but it is a fave of mine still! 🙂

I stamped and used my Zig pens to watercolor in an ombré sunshiney look! It’s not quite as smooth as I’d have liked, but I decided if I messed with it anymore, I’d have watercolor outside the lines! 🙂hawkins_jill_sunshine_wm

I scored the panel, and stitched it on a card base with a paper clip. That was about it! Lots of simple sunshine to mail!

I’m entering this in the Ellen Hutson January Mix It Up Challenge: Avery Elle. It’s about over, but if you run, you can sneak one in too! 😉

Love Puffin

When I saw this Love Puffin from Avery Elle, i just knew I wanted to stamp them! 🙂 So stinkin’ cute! I am going to share three different cards I made over the course of *two many* days… 🙂 Watercolor drying is painful sometimes.

Happy Halloween!

Popping in quick, to say Happy Halloween!!

hawkins_jill_happy-halloween_wmThese Monster stamps and dies are all from Avery Elle! Soooooo fun! I have been pining to get my hands on them, and I took the opportunity to borrow a friend’s at our recent crafty retreat! Love these little guys! 😉

hawkins_jill_happy-halloween_00_wmI colored them with Copic Markers, die cut, and then pieced it all together. This AE Burst die though! 🙂 Top of my AE wishlist. I used it at least 10 times while there. Fantastic!

Six! 6! Seis!

Geesh! I have not made a card in many days! I don’t know how long it has been, but awhile. Mid-August to Mid/Late September is action packed around here! It’s been fun/busy/crazy for certain, but I am looking forward to regularly scheduled programming again. Or Christmas break, whichever gets here first! 🙂

Anyway, a quick share today to freshen’ things up around here!

hawkins_jill_6_00_wmI made some little gift cards for my son’s friends a while back. Well, he wanted a fish birthday card too! So voila! 🙂hawkins_jill_6_wmI used Avery Elle’s super fun fish: That Bites. Of course, searching for this stamp set link, I see there are many new Avery Elle stamps that I will be adding to my wishlist! Dang. Love that peeps keep making the Awesome! 🙂

Oh, also, I used Avery Elle’s Numbered Balloons.

Teacher Appreciation…

I thought I’d pop in and share the two Teacher Appreciation cards we delivered at the beginning of this fun week!

This first one’s sentiment from Altenew makes my heart warm. Especially when teaching preschoolers. I think there is a lot of love and care that goes along with teaching the youngest kids. 🙂

hawkins_jill_thank u teach_00_wmSuper enjoy these Teacher stamp sets. I stamped and colored these images a couple of months back, so I wasn’t rushing about this week. But guess what? Yup, didn’t get them assembled til late Sunday night. Ugh. Never fails! 🙂

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again…Teachers Rock! We have had the pleasure of two amazing teachers, two years in a row. Grateful for their energy and PATIENCE! 🙂

I just received this fantastic set, World’s Greatest Award from Technique Tuesday. Another fun one for Teachers! I hope to make something later this week with my little helper, and share it after. We’ll see what pans out!

Happy 5th!

Lots of fun birthdays to make cards for! I used some awesome Avery Elle stamp sets for this one: Numbered Balloons, Party Animal, and Surf’s Up! I decided I’d love to have the dies from the Numbered Balloons! 🙂 Never fails. Haaa!hawkins_jill_happy 5_wmOh, to be five! 🙂

hawkins_jill_happy 5_00_wmI colored the van with Copics, used Distress inks to rub over, and finished off the balloon with some Wink of Stella shine. That was a mistake bc my WOS pen is sort of on the fritz and spurts out a lot all at once. Should have waited til after I photo’d. I say this EVERY TIME I touch that pen! Grrrrr. Haaaa! Oh well. 🙂

The wonky stitch rectangle die cut is MFT. I’m pretty much using that on everything right  now 🙂 The STAX set it comes from rocks! 🙂

Avery Elle: Winter!

I have so many supplies that have been screaming at me to use them. So, I am doing just that! 🙂 This time, I busted out another favorite, Avery Elle.

My Grannie lives in sunny Florida and recently moved. I thought she would get a kick out of a “Cool Digs” igloo card in Florida! 🙂

hawkins_jill_cool digs_wmThis Distress ink watercolors look pretty dang cool in person, but yet, I just can’t get the photo to cooperate. (The photography saga goes on! Ha!! 🙂 )

hawkins_jill_cool digs_00_wmI thought it would be fun to do a tone on tone background for this jazzy tag. So I used the Happy Camper set and did just that. Delightful 🙂 The igloo and sentiment are from the fun set, Home Sweet Home. Love that teepee! 🙂
