French foreign minister says Johnson 'told lies'

France's foreign minister Jean-Marc Ayrault Thursday called the newly appointed British foreign secretary, Boris Johnson a liar. Ayrault told French Europe 1 radio that during the [Brexit] campaign Johnson "told a lot of lies to the British people and has his back against the wall" to defend his country and define its relationship with Europe. He added France needed a partner who was “clear, credible and who could be trusted”.
