Thanks, - I would love to develop the discussion we had with Jan Kaus further, I feel he takes thoughts on city lit further in ways that literary scholars don't usually do - and nice to have some input also from city dwellers, men and women of the crowd, re E.A. Poe.

DB has opted for atonal music "because it completely undermines traditional listening habits." "Few people find it beautiful " (...) an opinion that might come as a blow to the organizers of Berlin's Atonal Music festival, which starts this week.

The 2018 heatwave has revealed "a treasure trove" of "lost archaeological sites" across Britain & Ireland, showing up as "parch marks" visible from the air: the traces of "ancient field boundaries, lost villages, burial mounds & military structures".

Ever since I began to be interested in narrative planning, I've been quoting, teaching & using the work of James A. Throgmorton - so I'm understandably excited to participate in today's "Contested Planning, persuasive storytelling" seminar

We are a PPGIS service. But what does the abbreviation mean? In short, we're making it easy to capture people's ideas, preferences, and experiences on a map. This makes a strong foundation for collaborative urban planning.

"People look at their garbage differently now, seeing every bottle and crushed carton in a planetary context...We ask whether it is responsible to eat a certain item if the package the item comes in will live a million years." Don DeLillo, writing in 1997 in his novel Underworld.

Very pleased that my new paper with on green urban nature and gray urban nature has now been released! This paper was ten years in the making, but worth it—IMHO the green/gray distinction does a lot of work to decipher contemporary urban sustainability thinking.
