CJE SeniorLife values each of its over 300 full- and part-time workers from diverse backgrounds as well as the more than 20,000 diverse older adults and their families that we help annually.

In doing this we recognize that everyone plays an important part in making up who CJE SeniorLife is. Rooted in Jewish communal values, CJE’s mission is to enhance quality of life and facilitate independence of older adults through our own values: Respect, Advocacy, Compassion, Intention, Innovation and Accountability.

Throughout the year, we recognize, value and embrace the diversity in who we are and who we serve. We also recognize, value and embrace others outside of CJE that have contributed to the greater good and represent the values CJE holds dear.

December is Universal Human Rights Month

It is a time for people in the U.S. and around the world to join together and stand up for the rights and dignity of all individuals. December 10, Human Rights Day, is a global holiday that marks the adoption of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights by the United Nations in 1948.

Additionally, December is the month in which Kwanzaa is celebrated. It is a holiday when individuals can take stock of mankind’s struggles, hope for the future and the positive impact and contributions of people of African descent. For this reason, we recognize Queen Nanny.
