After being caught lying about the seeing the video and giving Ray Rice a ridiculous two game suspension, the NFL has effectively white-washed the incident, freeing themselves up with an “independent” retired judge to bring Ray “Boom Bitch Goes Down” Rice back into their loving fold. The lesson here from the NFL brand? Don’t beat the shit out of your wife unless you’re a big enough star to get away with it.

Newsflash to the NFL owners: Lenore coming back?  Quoth the raven, `Nevermore.’

Perched upon the pallid bust of Pallas just above the NFL’s chamber door is a prophet that took the form of a raven from Baltimore named Rice.

Ray’s alcohol fueled brutality in the elevator of some casino didn’t drive Lenore away from the brand known as the NFL. He was simply the messenger who foretold of a coming great demise.

What brought the NFL to this it’s loneliest despairing place was it’s own greed and callus indifference to the rule of law and civil society as a whole.

The NFL allowed corporate ideology to usurp basic human decency and for that sin… it’s soul from out that shadow that lies floating on the floor shall be lifted – nevermore.
