Highlights
- In August, the Logistics Cluster in close collaboration with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) and UN agencies coordinated five Inter-Agency Humanitarian Convoys to hard-to-reach and besieged locations.
Transport and Storage
Land transport to Qamishli proceeded smoothly during the month of August, a total of 109 trucks successfully arrived delivering much-needed humanitarian supplies including Food, WASH, Health and Shelter items on behalf of WFP, UNHCR, WHO, UNICEF, and UNFPA.
Operational Updates
To date, since the start of the Mosul operation on 17 October 2016, a total of 49,073 m³ of humanitarian cargo, equivalent to 10,041 mt, has been received for storage, and 7,079 m³ (1,599 mt) transported on behalf of 40 humanitarian organisations across the 17 different Logistics Cluster hubs.
