The rabbinic court is fighting a political battle about state vs non-state religious services, fought on the back of this woman. Today, they criminally convicted a man for get refusal, all for the purpose of *keeping* a woman chained. Chelm.

Ah, the good ol' days: “The world has gone totally crazy,” he said. “Once a family was something that was closed from every direction. The rules were clear. No one could go in. The woman couldn’t leave the house. People used to suffer a lot less.”

The RCA version is not the best suited for Israel because it does not address the dual court system that exists in Israel.

CWJ's prenup's civil agreement takes care of most common forms of get refusal (such as extortion) through the civil courts. It covers the more rare forms of aginut (such as husband in a coma) through halachic mechanisms (tna'im), which you can see here:

What makes a prenup effective in Israel is its teeth in civil court, since the state rabbinate rejects all halachic prenups, even the ones approved by major poskim (Rav Ovadia ztl, R Zalman Nechemia Goldberg, R Gedalia Schwartz of RCA, R Yitzchak Liebes of BD Igud Hahabonim, etc)

In Israel, the prenup that is the most legally watertight and halachically comprehensive is the CWJ prenup. Check it out here:

Today, after 2+ years of being refused a divorce, Irena walked out of the rabbinic court a free woman. Until women gain the right to divorce, CWJ will continue treating the symptom--women trapped in marriages--while working on the root problem--a fundamental lack of civil rights.

In Israel, the existence of agunot--women unable to leave their marriages--points not just to a religious problem but a civil failing as well. CWJ addresses both by utilizing available halakhic solutions while challenging the state's monopoly:

Today, CWJ is in the as an amicus curiae in Dr. Yofi Tirosh's petition against ever-growing sex segregation in government-funded academia. "Separate but equal" is a farce. Access to higher education for both women and Hareidi men should not be a zero sum game.
