Maltese PM announces plan for Brexit summit

EU leaders will gather for a summit "possibly four to five weeks" after the UK triggers the legal mechanism for leaving the EU, Maltese prime minister Joseph Muscat has confirmed. UK prime minister Theresa May has promised to take the legal move in March. The UK should have a "fair deal", Muscat told the European Parliament's plenary, but added that it "necessarily needs to be inferior to membership".
