Northern Ireland to hold snap elections
By EUOBSERVER
Voters in Northern Ireland will go to the polls on 2 March following the collapse of the region's power-sharing government. The election will be held in the shadow of uncertainty over Brexit. The Protestant Democratic Unionist Party are allied with the Conservative Party, which is pursuing Brexit, while the Catholic Sinn Fein wants Northern Ireland to stay in the EU and eventually reunite with Ireland.
