VW compensation for damages in EU 'complicated'

EU justice commissioner Vera Jourova said Monday that people in the EU who purchased diesel cars from Volkswagen are unlikely to have the same access to compensation as those in the US. "In the European Union, the way to damages is more complicated than in the United States," she said. US Volkswagen owners can receive up to $10,000 following revelations the German company cheated on emissions tests.
