Yelp is the best way to find great local businesses
People use Yelp to search for everything from the city's tastiest burger to the most renowned cardiologist. What will you uncover in your neighbourhood?
Stopped in for after-work drinks with a friend during Christmas-time. The bar was busy but we were eventually seated in what could be argued as the best seat in the house - right by the window looking out to Union Station / Front Street.
The service was superb - with a very attentive and knowledgeable server who gave us a mini-history lesson about the hotel and the rooftop beehive and garden.
Delicious cocktails: - ROOFTOP LAVENDER AND HONEY BEE'S KNEES and - MORTDECAI SPICED MANHATTAN both strong and flavourful

And we shared a STEAK TARTARE to snack on - that came with 3 slides of toasted crostini. We could've used a fourth piece given the amount of tartare remaining and the fact it was shared between two.
Hotel bars, especially those that bear such historic significance - are always favourites to frequent.
I was looking for a place for a lunch in Yorkville with a friend prior to a shopping trip in the area. I found The Oxley through Yelp and was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. I must've walked by this building a hundred times without realizing it was a british pub.
We sat at the bar area up front because it seems that they were booked up (reservations) on a Thursday lunch hour (holiday season). The reception and service from the bartender were very positive and the selection of beers and cocktails were extensive. For lunch I had the Fish and Chips. It came out with a large battered piece of haddock and a bowl of thick cut fries. The fish was nice and crispy on the outside and moist inside. The meal also came with a side of tarter sauce and hot sauce.
Overall, it definitely met my expectations for a lunch meal and left me with a desire to come visit again and try more of the menu.
Save your money and go somewhere where their staff know what they're doing to your hair and aren't rude! Their pics of hair posted online are mostly taken under a bright light so it looks way better in pics. Also, they do not blow dry your hair after a service unless you book it in advance--I've never experienced that before at any salon. Worst experience to date. I now have to spend more money and fix whatever damage was done to the colour of my hair.
