Gwen Hernandez is the author of Scrivener For Dummies, Productivity Tools for Writers, and the “Men of Steele” series (military romantic suspense). She teaches Scrivener to writers all over the world through online classes, in-person workshops, and private sessions.

She craves a constant mental challenge, and is happiest when her work involves learning new things, solving problems, helping others, and digging into new technology. That’s probably why she was a systems analyst, business instructor, and manufacturing engineer before she started writing. Writing romantic suspense keeps her fully engaged with research, solving plot puzzles, and figuring out her characters. Her books and classes on Scrivener and other tech tools for writers feed her geeky soul and her desire to teach.

Gwen has wandering feet and travels as much as possible. Luckily she married an Air Force engineer who’s just as adventurous. They currently live near Boston with two teenage boys and the world’s laziest golden retriever. When she’s not writing, teaching, or traveling, you can probably find her jogging, practicing Kung Fu or yoga, reading for fun, or hanging out with her family.
