True. My frustration comes from the fact that Western orgs & “experts” hijacked the #Yemen debate. They don’t make an effort to get the perspective of Yemenis outside Sana’a. The key phrase in this op-ed is that Sec Pompeo's words & manner are "calculated to offend." Exactly the opposite of effective diplomacy, in which you convey respect to all parties even when - especially when - you are trying to get them to agree to something difficult.
