After building the distributed storage systems that power Twitter, we regrouped to create the database we wished we had.

  1. Evan

    Chief Executive Officer

    Evan is the former Director of Infrastructure of Twitter, where he was employee 15. He holds an M.S. in Computer Science and previously worked at CNET and SAP.

  2. Matt

    Chief Technical Officer

    Matt is the former Technical Lead of Twitter's database teams. Previously he worked at Serious Business, a social gaming company acquired by Zynga.

  3. Carly

    VP of Operations

    Carly is a former Captain in the United States Army. She holds a B.S. in Nuclear Engineering from West Point and an M.B.A. from Notre Dame. Previously she worked at JPMorgan Chase.

  4. Andrew

    VP of Marketing

    Andrew has held a variety of product marketing and management roles at companies ranging from early stage startups to Sun Microsystems, Verisign, and Oracle.

  5. Amna

    Director of Recruiting

    Amna studied English Literature and Philosophy at Columbia University where she graduated with honors. Previously she worked in Training and Development at MAC Cosmetics.

  6. Chris

    Director of Developer Experience

    Chris was co-founder of Couchbase and the creator of Couchbase's mobile technology. He is the co-author of "CouchDB: The Definitive Guide."
