Description
The strong
element is used to emphasize a phrase of text content. It typically
renders the text contained in a bold, non-italicized font like that shown
in Figure 1.

Use This For …
This element is used to highlight significant sections of content, possibly in body copy. It may also be used to emphasize key page elements; for example, the current navigation item in a list.
