    Chichester East byelection, Tories 356 Labour 317 LD 275 Green 88 A seismic result in West politics! Labour hasn't come second in an election in Chichester in 40 years, never mind coming less than forty votes of winning. Proud to back , a stunning result!

    When indulging in shamelessly party political, opportunistic stunts, Katy, it's usually frowned on to get the Police district entirely wrong of the Town you're visiting. Blaming your "fat fingers" for the howler only works if you mistype the wrong District once, not three times.

    Once again the Tories fail to get to grips with the real issue. Simply - we need to build more houses. Give councils the funding and powers to build.

    Nothing in this social housing Green Paper measures up to the scale of the crisis. It's pitiful that while Conservative cuts have driven the number of new social rented homes to a record low, there is not a single penny of new money to increase supply

    You can pretty much forget travelling from Brighton to London for a huge number of weekends

    So the Brighton Main Line is about to have nine months of improvement works. This is a good thing. However, I suspect commuters would be more happy to accept the short-term impact of such works if business as usual wasn't quite so appalling.
