The Xplova X5 cycling camera will automatically record when you reach crazy fast speeds
0Instead of strapping a generic camera to their helmets, cyclists can now mount the Acer Xplova X5 on their bike frame to track routes and record video in 720p. The camera can turn on automatically based on certain factors, like when your heart rate or speed reaches a certain level, or if you pass by a specific GPS coordinate.
While the clear point of the X5 is to record video, it also comes with an app that's used for keeping tabs on friends. People in the same riding group can track one another through GPS while sharing their videos online throughout the ride. The app also lists rides from other users, so cyclists in unknown areas can still plan a route. Xplova doesn't list a price, but says it will vary by region.
