George Michael's publicist has issued a statement saying the pop star's family are 'touched' by the fans who are mourning his death.
The singer, who was in the 80s duo Wham! before launching his own solo career, died in his sleep on Christmas Day.
His publicist put out a statement saying George Michael's family and close friends have been 'touched beyond words by the incredible outpouring of love' from fans since the his death.
The statement read: 'The family and close friends of George have been touched beyond words by the incredible outpouring of love for him in the hours and days since his death.
'For someone whose life was ultimately about his music and the love he had for his family and friends, his fans and the world at large, there could be no more fitting tribute than the many, many, kind words that have been said and the numerous plays his records have received.
'Contrary to some reports, there were no suspicious circumstances surrounding his death, and from the bottom of our hearts we thank those who, rightly, have chosen to celebrate his life and legacy at this most distressing of times.'
Today, mourners were seen writing condolence messages in the dust of a Range Rover which is parked outside of his home in north London.

Messages written on the car include 'RIP George' written in a heart and 'gone but never forgotten', which one grief-stricken fan clutched today as she wept about her idol's death.
Among those who visited the star's home in north London today was actress Debbie Killingback, who played George Michael's girlfriend in the music video for Last Christmas.
Delivering flowers and a photo of her and George in the video, she said: 'He was just lovely, normal and down-to-earth.

One fan was photographed clutching the grey car and sobbing next to a message, written in a heart, which said: 'RIP George'
Hundreds people have flocked to his homes in North London and Oxfordshire to pay their respects to the late pop star
'He was fun and liked to laugh and was just the most amazing person. We all became close after the video was filmed.'
She reminisced over the part she played in the hit video, adding: 'I remember we had a few drinks on a night in but George was very good.
'We also had a bed scene but that got cut.
'When we went back I missed my plane and George was at the airport and said: "We thought you'd been kidnapped."
Debbie Killingback, who played George Michael's girlfriend in the music video for Last Christmas, also visited the North London home today
She delivered flowers and a photo of her and George in the video with her with her 10-year-old niece, Kiki Killingback
She said: 'He was just lovely, normal and down-to-earth. He was fun and liked to laugh and was just the most amazing person. We all became close after the video was filmed'
Bouquets of flowers, candles and a Greek flag have been left outside of his home in Goring-on-Thames over the past few days
Other gifts have been left include framed photographs, sympathy cards, a pink football, wreaths, tinsel stars and a teddy bear
As well as the sea of tributes outside his London mansion, fans have been flocking to the Oxfordshire village cottage where Michael died.
Candles continued to burn following a special vigil held last night while personal messages and pieces of memorabilia were placed outside his front door.
A white teddy bear with his initials 'GM' written in a love heart, a pineapple and a CD of his 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice Volume One were among the personal items left by mourners.
Laura Pratley, 27, has lived her whole life in Goring-on-Thames, and recalled seeing George walking his dogs on one occasion.
'Me and my mum went for a walk one winter's morning and we saw him with his dogs,' she said.
'He said "hello" to us and was very friendly. It was a real honour that he obviously found Goring as beautiful as we did.'

She laid a bouquet of flowers outside his front door with a touching message to her former neighbour.
'The village was honoured to have you as a resident,' it read.
'It is nice to know you thought Goring was as beautiful as those of us lucky to live here. I am so sad to hear of your passing. You seemed like a kind sensitive and loving person.
'May your soul rest in peace although you will be forever in many hearts. Laura.'
Debbie Gray, 42, travelled for over an hour from Cambelery, Surrey, to lay some flowers with her 11-year-old daughter Hannah.
She wept as she placed them on the ground.
'He was my hero all the while I was growing up, my bedroom used to be covered with posters of him,' she said.
'He was a big part of my growing up and it's so sad he's gone. I was so shocked, just numb when I heard the news. I was eight years old when I first heard him on Top of the Pops and I've loved him ever since.'
