Under the Milky Way
This image was taken at the Australia Telescope Compact Array at Narrabri. There was no moon and it was a perfectly clear night. An absolutely perfect opportunity to sit back and ponder about how insignificant we are when you look up at that massive sky.

The Dish
This massive radio telescope is 64m across the dish and is part of Australia's CSIRO Australia Telescope National Facility. It is an Aussie Icon and has been in operation since the 1960's and continues to be a major part of global space exploration today. This big unit is known as 'The Dish' and is used by scientist all over the planet for world-class astronomical science. It runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Sleeping Skeeter
This image was shot up on one of Queensland's inland dams on a crystal clear night whilst fishing and camping. The stars were an amazing site as they reflected off the still calm waters. We got some great Barramundi as well.

Outback Fireworks
The Narrabri Carnival fireworks display over the still waters of the Narrabri West Lake.
Conditions were perfect for this shot as there was not a breath of air to disturb the waters or reflections. The fireworks and carnival rides lit up the night sky.

Moon Sailing
This shot high over the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney catches the Full Moon rising over the ocean along with the Hustle and Bustle of the streets below. This was an interesting and difficult shot to get and due to slow shutter speed and getting the correct exposure of both the boon and the streets below required many attempts but found a happy medium at f22 and ISO1000 @ 13s.

Star Dust
This image was taken out on the dusty stock routes of southern NSW between Hay and Jerilderie. There is zero light pollution out there and some of the best night skies you are likely to ever see. Water is so important in this part of the world and as there is no permanent water holes for hundreds of Kilometers the humble windmill is a welcome site for the drovers driving their sheep and cattle across the plains.

Bridge to Bridge
This image of the Sydney Harbour Bridge was all about trying to bring out the Stars and Milky Way. This is quite difficult to do in an urban environment with so much light pollution but with multiple exposure stacking and some patience you can see the stars poking through from the middle of the city.

Brick work Ruins
This image was taken out on the outskirts of Narrabri at an old Brick Works site from the early 1900's. These days it is very dilapidated and run down but made a great foreground for some astro shots of the Milky way.
