"The Sky Calls to Us"
In this scene the comet-like Antares / Rho Ophiuchi nebula and associated dark nebulosity appears to fall towards the solitary figure holding a light against the darkness. Upon the lonely rocky outcrop the figure beholds the magnificent Milkyway galaxy as it descends slowly into the west. The red "Cats Paw" and "Lobster" nebula can be seen clearly in the centre of this shot. This image was taken at Nambung National Park, Western Australia.
I used an Skywatcher StarAdventurer sky tracking mount to take this 5 panel mosaic. A Canon EOS6d (modified) was used through a Canon 85mm f/1.2 lens stopped down to f/4.0. All camera and lens settings were kept the same for all panels, and all shots were taken one immediately after the other. The tracking mount was used for the sky and turned off for the foreground panels. Stitching in PTGui, colour balance, noise reduction, saturation and some brightness / contrast adjustment in Photoshop. Details below.
Details as follows:
| 2018-08-19 | Nambung National Park, Western Australia | EOS6D modified | Canon 85 f1.2 lens | @f/4.0 | UV/IR cut-filter | ISO1600 | 30s | 5 x panels | Skywatcher StarAdventurer mount |
Enjoy,
Will Vrbasso.

"Carina Skies"
No, this scene is not taken during the day, but at night with the moon at 61% and high in the sky. The light of the Milkyway is significantly washed out and only the brightest sections can be still seen (without excessive processing). The silent pillars of the Pinnacles are illuminated under the ethereal light of the moon, and in the night sky even the glow from the moon cannot hide the might Carina Nebula that shines like a pink rose in the dark blue heavens above. Towards the bottom left is the Large Magellanic Cloud which is drowning in the brightness close to the southern horizon.
I used an Skywatcher StarAdventurer sky tracking mount to take this 3x4 panel mosaic (but cropped signifantly from a large but uninspiring vertical pano). A Canon EOS6d (modified) was used through a Canon 50mm f/1.2 lens stopped down to f/3.5.

Looped photos of a violinist playing under a tree by a bench while the water sprinkler was flinging water in the air. Looped photos were snapped and looped together by Kenneth Clark of Tulsa, Oklahoma at Woodward Park.
