I would love to see this place on a clear night...I can imagine the stars would be heavenly at this altitude!

I loved the story about your laughing geese! I've only seen them in documentaries, so how wonderful for you to have your very own pair! You must keep me updated on their mating success this season!

The rains/snows have let up for a few days, finally. Next week we could have a little snow, but Spring is trying its best to poke it's head through. This morning I was watching a little male House Wren busily looking at different nesting spots. I have 2 Wren houses in my back yard, and he would flit back and forth between them looking to see one which his mate might like, but then he also climbed into the pole that I use for a laundry line and poked around in the hole in the tube. House Wrens are so much fun to watch as the male builds several nests and then the female looks them all over to decide which one suits her. The unselected nests will then sit empty as no other Wrens will use them.

Chemo is such a nasty business. I remember when I was first diagnosed, a friend who is a nurse told me of all the side effects and also told me that it was my choice to go on with the treatments or not. After the first 2 weeks, I was feeling so horrible and my brain was a total mess. That's when I decided not to continue, and never went back. I thought it was so odd that no one at the clinic even bothered to call to ask where I'd been. April 1 will be 9 years since my diagnosis, and so far, so good! I look at it that even if it would come back now, those 9 years were worth it, and I still don't know whether I'd do the chemo again or not. One day at a time, right? ;-)
