Starting today with version 9.6.0 of the G+ Android client, we are enabling a new feature: support for adding animated GIFs to your posts and comments using Gboard! Now it’s easy to find and send an Animated GIF for the perfect reaction.

Carnaval is a celebration that takes place in many parts of the world. It’s a time of year filled with joy, music, dance and the honoring of traditions. It's a time to party and truly celebrate life! From masked balls in Venice and Mardi Gras in Louisiana to the traditional murgas in the Canary Islands and the Samba Schools and Blocos Afros in Brazil, Carnaval brings people to the streets as they celebrate, sing, and dance together until the early morning.
How are you celebrating Carnaval? Are you putting your daily routine on pause to relish in the revelry?
Carnaval is a joyful celebration of life and creativity. You can transform into a superhero, a pirate or a queen…etc.

#CantLiveWithout Thermos!
I can't live without Thermos. Thermos travels with me everywhere I go and never forgets to hydrate me, even when the day gets very busy. Its water stays the same temperature for hours, it's magic. It doesn't break when it falls, it fits in my tiny purse, and stops me from using plastic bottles damaging our Earth.
The first time I realized the importance of having Thermos in my life was during a snowshoeing expedition in Lake Tahoe, CA. In the morning I filled it in with boiling water, hoping that it would keep me warm for a few hours. After a full long day in the cold, it was still warm, unbelievable.
I bet that this summer, the ice cubes will last as long.

Meet the Google+ Team! <3
I #CantLiveWithout my exceptional team
Here on Google+, I manage the Content and Community Management Team. You're probably most familiar with our efforts on the Create program, but our ambitions don't stop there and there's a lot we do behind the scenes. You probably know +Sophie Bonnet (Google+ Create), +Madeleine DeRome (Community Vanguards), +Faith Tan (Public Collections Community), and +Leanne Osborne (Early Access), but there are many more Community Managers, two Outreach Coordinators, one Social Media Manager, and one exceptional Project Manager who us achieve our vision. What is that vision you ask? Well...
"We cultivate the content - and empower the creators - that make Google+ the best place for shared interests."
That's done through three core functions:
1) Identify high quality content. This is done a variety of ways, including machine learning, outreach, algorithms, and human quality evals. When we're talking about something as subjective as quality, we believe firmly that a mix of all three at scale is vital to our success. We look at a lot of stuff and +Jared Kamel makes sure it all stays organized behind the scenes. We are all lost without him.
2) Promote it. Once we've found all that stuff, we want to make sure it gets in front of the right people - no matter how niche or popular a subject may be. We work extremely closely with our Ranking and Recommendations team to evaluate the quality of our recommendations and improve them. The content we identify feeds directly into their recommendation prowess and the more they have, the better stuff you see.
3) Retain the people who made it. And this is the part of the process where you're most familiar with the CCM Team. Google+ Create ( https://www.plus.google.com/create ) exists to bring incredible content creators and sharers together so that they - with Google's help - can maximize their impact across Google+. There's a slew of perks that come along with it, including profile verification and a ticket to our beta Community, Early Access which has direct contact to our product / dev teams to help make G+ even greater.
What you may not know is that we also have Create India run by the delightful +Sooraj Wadhwa and Create em Portuguese run by the ambitious +Carolina Liu. Community Vanguards is a private Community for owners / moderators of some of the best Communities on G+ - and is expanding quickly. Our Social Media Manager +Dell F makes sure that anything awesome we see if promoted through our official Google+ Page and Twitter. To make sure we keep things fresh, +Pamela Abi Najem and McKenna Taylor scour the planet for more incredible people to come share their content with all of us.
Phew! If that sounds like a lot, it is - and it wouldn't be possible without our Project Manager +Tracy Hua. She makes sure that everything is running smoothly and speaks up for the team when they need something to be successful in their roles.
Helping you find the stuff you're into.
When I think about an exciting future, I think about one where everyone feels like they belong. All of the programs I've run in my life - whether as a Community Manager, Program Manager, or in my free time - revolve around the idea that people should be able to find the stuff they're into and connect around it. Managing projects at scale that do that gets me out of bed in the morning with a smile my face. I want to create a future where machine learning and humans, together, make sure that no matter how popular or niche or weird your interest, you can come together to create incredible things.
While my job is absolutely fulfilling, it wouldn't be anywhere near as enjoyable without seeing these hardworking, intelligent and absolutely hilarious people every day. I love this team and I love waking up in the morning to see them. This is the best team I've ever been a part of and I'm so lucky to be here. So, yeah.... #CantLiveWithout you guys. <3
