Seriously this book is a quick read. It is of course the inspiration behind "Hellraiser." Fast paced writing its a pleasure to read.

Im finding books really boring these days and struggle to finish most (books)

submitted 1 month ago by romainvicta to books (+3|-0)

I recently tried to read The songs of Maldoror and couldnt get past the second song because my god it was going absolutely nowhere. At the moment Im going through Augustine's Confessions and while I find it to be incredibly tedious with some solid parts here and there, I couldnt even remember most of what I read from the last book. I dont even remember the passages with Ambrose or Augustine's affairs or his problems with Manichean thought. I decided to push through it since im almost done anyway

But im wondering why ive been feeling this way lately. For many different genres it's the same even history, philosophy, or the classics. Any tips on how to make reading fun again

Was shopping today and got a hell of a deal. 3XCarlin. Three of George Carlin's books in one! "Brain Droppings, Napalm + Silly Putty, When Will Jesus Bring the Porkchops and New Stuff." Even better it was second hand in perfect shape and was only $1.50. Good read for my weekend!

I held a book autographed by one of my favourite authors today (books)

I always wondered why autographed books cost so much more, especially when the author is dead.

It was a weird feeling.

Strange.
