Winter is coming.

Winter is coming.

Imagine if she had a future. A future with Soso. Imagine them getting out of prison. Renting a tiny flat, working at supermarkets, in cafès, saving their money. They struggle with the life outside but they manage. Poussey calls Judy after they got a bit stable. Judy gets her a little job in a resaurant. She works her ass of and slowly gets higher in position. Soso is taking charge in demonstrations and wants change. She gives her best. They both do. They are working hard and it pays off. Poussey becomes a chef in a good restaurant. Soso founds a campaign for prisoners rights. They get help from Judy and many other previous inmates, even Caputo tries to get involved and helps. She builds programms for inmates when they get out, helping them with all she can.
Imagine Taystee getting out of prison. She’s crashing on their couch for a few weeks, she finds a good job as an assitant. She learned stuff in prison. She builds a god small life for her and when Suzanne gets out she moves in with her. Taystee takes care of her, makes sure she gets a bit help so she can control herself when some stupud people provoke her. Doesn’t mean Taystee can though. She will always defend Suzanne, trying to shield her from all the bad in this world and giving her best for a good life.
Poussey and Soso buy a house, they get a dog and are talking about children. In the end the decide to adopt. Taystee and Suzanne move in next to them, they both are the best aunts in the world. Poussey and Soso are great parents, they raise their kids to be nice, confident and funny. Taystee is taking care of her little family, she always did and she always will. She’s so proud of her best friend. And we are too. They did it. With all the struggle and problems, with all they’ve been through they managed it. And they get their happing ending they deserve.

I just got this message. I love it.

You really want a picture out there that looks like you about to beat down Judy King?
Ok now that I’ve had a moment to calm my damn nerves after that finale, here are my thoughts on this season:
THINGS I LOVED:
1) Nikky is back!! And Red is happy again!
2) The soundtrack. The credit songs for the first few episodes especially were lit
3) Mendosa and Sister teaming up to fight for Sophia
4) Piper getting her ego handed to her by Ruiz (who is a bamf)
5) Maritza proving that people really shouldn’t underestimate her
6) Caputo. He genuinely has good intentions and even with that finale he still sees the inmates as people
7) Luschek. He’s still such a disaster but idk I think his character is hilarious
8) Boo and Doggitt’s friendship (and Doggitt’s basket)
9) Piscatella being gay. Lmao
10) THAT RIOT AT THE END YAS
THINGS I HATED:
1) OFFICER HUMPHREY
2) Legit every CO tbh
3) Precious Poussey’s death
4) Caputo choosing to support Bailey and calling him a “victim”
5) The baby mouse incident
6) Humphrey forcing them to fight (he’s popping up a lot on this list)
7) Judy King. She was an interesting character and sometimes she was ok but eh I don’t like her
8) Piper for the first half of the season
9) The way people treat Lolly
10) Humphrey. Again. He’s seriously the worst

- Poussey Washington

Hayes dropping some facts on Watson!
Can we take a minute to appreciate Danielle Brooks acting? Because it was on fucking point. When the whole thing went down i was in shock, i was just staring and then Taystee comes over and her reaction hits me like a fucking train. So then i am there crying because it hits me “oh shit this is really happening” and the way she cried, the way she screamed. The pain i felt coming from her. It broke my fucking heart. All i know is the tears didn’t start until I fucking saw and heard Taystee’s pain. So kudos to Danielle because that was amazing.

Also, even though this season was heartbreaking, they killed it in their acting game!
Like, Taylor Schilling as Piper, I felt the sincerity in the sorry she screamed to Alex and the pain and sorrow when she was getting branded and when she was talking to her brother!
Laverne Cox being broken and desperate in shu as Sophia. Diane Guerrero when Maritza told Flaca about eating the mouse and Lori Petty playing Lolly perfectly! The hilariousness of her comments to the seriousness of her situation…she definitely broke my heart.
Adrienne C. Moore and Vicky Jeudy as Cindy and Watson, watching them mourn was also heartbreaking, when their laughter and fond memories turned to tears.
And Danielle Brooks as Taystee, she was amazingly heart-wrenching, I cried so hard when she cried for Poussey, her friend her best friend! And felt that pain and then felt that anger when they didn’t acknowledge the truth of what happened to Poussey, it was absolutely devastating and she did such an incredible performance!
*spoilers* I was reading posts from the tags for the show and a lot of people are angry. Which makes sense since there was no justice. 😡 But it was a good way to speak about the problems we have presently in society. What was depicted on the show was real and raw. To have it end in a way where Poussey, the victim, receives no recognition makes it real. To have such an amazing character who over four seasons everyone has come to love, be gone makes people feel something. Poussey’s death speaks out for all the victims of brutality to the people who may not have understood it or cared about it before. To emit emotion from the fans of the show for a fictional character with a real life problem will hopefully shed light on what actually happens in society. And the biggest theme in this season was the segregation of the groups which was different than other seasons. This time it wasn’t about just hanging out with people of the same race it was about banding together against each other. The nazi group was beyond annoying. 😷 But how things went down in the last two episodes showed the common goal among them was respect and safety against the guards. The guards who I hate, ALL OF THEM. Piscatella is an idiot, and Humphrey is disgusting, I don’t think Daya is gonna shoot him either. Ultimately it’s those two fault. If Piscatella wouldn’t have conducted the interrogation then Suzanne wouldn’t have fought Kukudio and wouldn’t have panicked into the cafeteria. Or Red wouldn’t have been sleepy from staying up so they wouldn’t have rioted on the tables cause she wouldn’t have fallen from being tired. What happened with Lolly and Healy was sad. Lorna is just all over the place with Nicky and Vinny. Piper got taught her lesson to just stop being an asshole. And I was disappointed in Caputo up up until the finale. At the beginning his heart was in the right place but he wasn’t doing his job. And now I’m just pissed at him for not doing the right thing. Looking forward to next season, I have to say this one was my favorite and I’m gone miss her.

This show is gold
I’m so scared to watch season 5

Can we talk about their A+ casting though?
I finally finished OITNB Season 4 and shit man! I was not expecting my heart to be ripped out, like I was getting super emotional with Piper and her whole story with getting branded and everything and I felt really bad and Lolly fucked me up too her line of traveling back in time and “it’s okay, we’ll just try again” Like fuck, I was a mess, but then, they fucking stomp on my heart with Poussey! Like, seriously she was so pure and good and seeing Taystee cry for her friend and Suzanne wanting to know what not breathing felt like…it was devastating. I wasn’t ready for this emotional heartbreak!
