Not sure if brit food is the best thing to go by. They like heap gravy and cheese on everything, no?

Going by a beef kebab at ali baba: 545 calories. 710mg sodium. The nutrition estimates used to be their on website but it looks like they've redesigned.

24g (12.6 saturated... wait, aren't guidelines on demonising saturated fat being questioned?) of fat isn't bad if the rest of your day is adjusted to fit it. My daily fat intake according to myfitnesspal is 70-80g, so that leaves room for other meals.

am I the only one that considers kebabs "diet" food? They taste great, include veggies, and are super filling. I count them as about ~500-600 calories. I don't think there's anything inherently bad about them though?

Best you can do is look into some sort of air filter system. The upside would be filtering non-bushfire related PM. There are gas masks that can filter PM, but I'm not sure how expensive they are or seen any listed on bunnings.

I live in the mid-mountains and have neither. The irritation from the smoke was actually pretty bad the other week, to the point of wearing a damp cloth to breath through. No idea how effective that is at trapping PM. Seems to be standard advice for being trapped in a fire on a plane though.

That one seems to use corn oil and MSG based on the photo. I'm on the hunt for some ready-made that are just pork rinds and salt. It's looking like I might just have to make some myself.

Apple sauce + cayenne + paprika + soy + eta bbq breakfast ribs. 7 hours on low. by ethicszen in slowcooking

The ingredients and cook time are in the title, but here it is:

Mix: a small jar of apple sauce, dusting of cayenne, heapings of paprika, dash of soy sauce, some ETA BBQ sauce (an Australian brand) to taste.

(bbq sauce ingredients listed as: cane sugar, vinegar, tomato paste, malt vinegar, (barley & wheat), wheat flour, salt, dried glucose syrup, colour (150c), food acid (citric), paprika, vegatable gums (xanthan, guar), flavour.) I went with this one as some other brands of bbq sauce are already apple sauce based, but taste kinda meh.

Adjust depending on how many racks of ribs so you have enough sauce to coat the ribs. The sauce is pretty thick so it doesn't run down the ribs into the base of the cooker. I sliced a medium sized red onion and added a teacup of tap water to the base of the cooker.

7 hours on low.
