Interesting, thanks! I could see a case to be made for having those drinking / being entertained adding to the trade value of the fort ("paying for drinks" essentially). The merc defense line seems like an interesting angle

I mean, everyone refers to them, probably with tongue in cheek, as parasites, etc. Does having them around have value? Does having visitors, entertainers, etc, add anything of quantifiable purpose? Pure laughs is fine, I just haven't made a tavern
