Well first, it isn't about doing whatever you want. On the contrary, its about being forced to do what you don't want.

The use of violence to coerce a person to involuntarily engage in an act is axiomatic in its incompatibility with freedom, free society, and free association. Unless you deny the definitions of the words; force, violence, freedom, association, voluntary action, and involuntary action any effort to deny this automatically falls into a reductio ad absurdum argument.

Instead of engaging in a fruitless exercise where I watch you dig yourself deep into a hole, I'd rather accept the status quo, bake gay people cakes and move on. It's not a hill worth dying on.

It's a slippery slope argument riddled with logical inconsistencies, but we as a country have decided to overlook it. Free association and discrimination in a free society is incompatible with use of violent coercion either through fines or outright arrest for failure to pay fines. It's a zero sum game and taken to logical extremes has untenable implications.

For some, the flag will never represent all of us. There is too much hate for the country in the hearts of some for that to ever happen. To call the flag nonsense and to say it should represent a group who refuse to be defined by it and hate the idea of it representing them and their heritage is a zero sum game.

Personally, I think its healthy. If you hate, then hate openly. This is what freedom looks like.

Are you reading what I'm writing? I said we should have flag burning before the game. I'm saying we should allow them to go all the way, and don't pull that weak shit when you say it should represent all of us. You don't believe that and the players don't believe that. This is the whole point.

Don't be weak. Don't try to have it both ways. If there are two America's and no one wants to compromise and absolutely no one is acting in good faith, then separate, either through violence or protest. Put up or shut up. Don't be weak. If life is so intolerable for the black man in this country, then he should do all in his power to correct the situation by any means necessary. Drop the 'we need to have a conversation' act. That's a cop out because white folks know that a vocal group of black men and women hate this country and no conversation is necessary to establish that.

Let's stop speaking falsely. Blacks who do that, like Shannon Sharpe, do that because they're too scared to give up their wealth and institutional power.
