Scandal of Donald Trump Jr's alleged Russian collusion will force his father to resign, Columbia law professor predicts by Link_1986 in SandersForPresident

How Did the Democrats Become Favorites of the Rich?

It's chock full of citations, communications, quotes, history, etc.

The DNC refused to reject dark money, high dollar donations, or implement low-income friendly policies. Even in public policy they have long since walked back from the New Deal and the Great Society.

If these challengers are more neoliberal and pro-corporate democrats, you might as well give Donald Trump the presidency in 2020 too. The democratic party needs to be more than just "We're not Trump!".

I say this lower in the comments as well.

The point is that even if he had done something that could implicate him, the GOP still wouldn't act to remove him.

To be totally honest, "ignore the haters" is pretty universally used as a positive thing. You do you. Be yourself. Follow your heart. Love is all you need.

It — like so many things — is dependent on context.

Don't get me wrong. I hate Trump. I think he makes polices based on right wing news and whoever he trusts that minute. Not to imply that a pre-election Trump was invested in being fair and even-handed either.

I don't feel like the Democratic Party gives a shit about me, either. Especially in the direction they've been headed.

Let me clarify. The Republican Party is full-on deranged. It's not based on serving corporate masters except to strip-mine the American people for their present wealth. It's more about nationalism than wealth tbh. That's an added short-term "benefit."

Decreased regulation — or increased regulation that small companies can't afford — and unenforced:unenforceable regulations, is a chronic problem with both parties. The Democratic Party is the Party of the rich more than the Republicans. It has just enough nods to communities that they are better than the GOP, but they aren't good to them either. The line I'm reminded of is, "it's ok to be gay or black, just so long as you aren't poor."

If a Democratic candidate is going against a Republican, in any area, I wish them well. But unless that candidate is willing to really invest in the American people, I won't work to support them. I know, I know, what does anyone care about my one vote? Or my measly donations? They don't, but I'm one of millions who feel this way. Not just the ones who voted for Bernie, but the people who feel so abandoned by a system that refuses to really help them that they refuse to even vote. And voter participation gets worse every election.

Do yes. Donald Trump is terrible, bases his policies on god-knows-what, and refuses to admit that what he is saying is more than just cruel. It's fucking unamerican.

And more than just focusing on Russia, maybe just maybe, the Democratic Party and the American people, have an honest — public— discussion on how to reduce our prison population, close the income inequality gap, protect the health of our people (not just give them access to expensive health insurance), and reject the corrupting effect of high dollar donations to campaigns.

Seems like good policy to me, and that's a lot better than just saying "beat Republicans."

Sadly with this congress, there is no way that Trump will be kicked from office. He has already shown that his is willing to ignore critics and is perfectly capable of isolating himself.

That is why we have to work, starting now if not sooner, to remove his allies from congress and push for a strong challenger for 2020. (That last one is Bernie, it is pretty clear that no other politician even comes close to having the support he does.)

I actually spoke to Clements not too long ago. It certainly sounds like he learned that lesson.

Our defense of Guinness would finally unite the city.

Typically speaking, BNC candidates do their AMAs here.

I thoroughly support the idea that candidates do more AMAs, certainly region specific ones.

How did you connect with BNC?

As a Justice Democrat, does that mean you will reject all PAC money?

I'm going to have to remove this comment (and maybe a few around it) for being too hostile. I can put it back if you edit it though. Remember: attack arguments, not people.

I do or don't disagree with your point, but the words you used.

Message us at this link right here when that's done or if you have a question about it. I won't be able to keep tabs on this thread.
