Okay let's look at one of the left's historical power bases, the workers party. Trump has already declared his intentions to use the labor unions on this infrastructure improvements. More union members, a bigger voice for workers unions.

These are historically important groups as they tend to form up a sizable chunk of the middle class which is the economic powerhouse of our country.

If for no other reason, people on the left should be excited about that. Not to mention the effects of killing TPP and NAFTA.

From my PoV it looks like you guys are trying to explain away everything good Trump is doing to avoid having to admit you might have been on the wrong side of things.

Obviously I could be wrong but everything Trump is doing right is immediately twisted into "the grand Conspiracy of things" while almost everything that Conspiracy theorists have been begging someone to do for decades seems to be part of what Trump is trying to do.

It's like we finally have our guy in position to fight TPTB and because he isn't Bernie Sanders people are frantically trying to glue horns on the guys forehead.

I'm not buying it. TPTB aren't going to scrap a deal like TPP that has been 7 years in the making and they certainly aren't going to recend NAFTA after it was already squarely in place and working as intended to cripple the USA's manufacturing potential.
