Metamorphosis is the automatic choice for me, I like it exactly how it is. I get greater attack speed at 20, and until then I can survive any situation.

I didn't hear any reasoning in that, just opinions. I mean I'd like to know what the argument is. Like I gave a reason why I don't care for truesight on forts (it was fun getting rare finishers, and to do so you become revealed in the process so you are still getting punished) but I haven't noticed anyone else's reasons yet.

Towers of Doom comes sort of close.

It would be neat to have an enemy structure within your base from the start. I remember playing custom games in Battlezone II that were like that, they were great fun. Especially as cooperative challenges.

I haven't heard any counterarguments to the stealth changes. I'd be interested in learning the rationale.

To think about it myself...

Honestly I will miss having the ability to use my 20/20 vision to spot stealthies (friends say I am exceptionally good at it, and that's neat to me that I can make use of my vision to gain advantage), but at the same time I understand the value of an even playing field so I ultimately support the visible outlines part of the change.

I don't know why we have to reveal Zeratul within fort range though. It's been fun getting the rare finishers on enemies inside forts and still blinking out before the towers get me after my attack reveals me.

We got hung up on whether a binomial test would be needed to account for the randomness, but it seems the t-test accounts for randomness anyway since it's comparing means of populations.

You've reaffirmed my personal suspicion so I'm glad I seem to be right.

Has their opinion shifted from "walls allow for degenerate plays that were not intended" to "walls generate cool plays that have arisen emergently"?

Damn I love finding video work like this. It's a passion of mine. I'll share my thoughts...

Pretty fantastic editing. I love the way it flowed with the music. The pacing matches the soundtrack perfectly. I have a subReddit dedicated to this kind of stuff so I posted it on there: https://www.reddit.com/r/SyncedtoMusic/comments/7hl8jt/darth_vaders_rage_anakin_skywalker_tribute/

That's a technical part I like about it, and overall (as for the experiential result of all that) I really appreciate the way I get immersed into Vader's character. I feel as though I am experiencing his memories and emotions myself.

On the downside, I think it became a bit repetitive – perhaps having it be a little bit more chronological instead of constantly showing clips from different times? There's definitely value in having it be all over the place – for moments of intensity – and those moments I think are actually what make this video stand out from most. But from a certain point on, I don't think it ever became recognizably chronological again. I think it should have a sort of gradual decrease in chronological chaos as time goes on, such that as you make your way back to the "present" (staring out the window) it becomes more and more grounded in the present again. Overall the chronological chaos could look kinda like a normal curve, instead of the way it simply increases as time goes on kinda like this curve.

I love doing this kind of stuff too. In any video like this there's a theme to get at. This video focuses on Vader's rage, clearly. I recently made a fan trailer for The Last Jedi. I found hands/grasping at lightsabers to be a very common theme in the recent movie trailers. I also focused a lot on making the music in sync with the visuals. Any feedback would be appreciated on that too if you're interested!

EDIT: I just watched again and it honestly does seem like you let the 'chronological chaos' calm down a bit at the end. Perhaps the scene of Vader walking by the Falcon just wasn't as memorable and so I didn't think to count it. Instead I think you could transition to the future a little bit, providing some resolution to his rage. Perhaps transition to Luke playing out the last of Vader's rage, in their final fight when Luke uses a lot of heavy attacks near the end of the scene. If it's more memorable then it feels more like you've resolved the rage, given catharsis to the viewer. The hard part with that, though, is how it would match the music at that point...
