The Clark offers a full series of educational opportunities for the public designed to encourage a wide range of audiences to explore, understand, and enjoy the Clark's collections and the visual arts. Our programs include guided gallery talks, gallery guides, lectures, films, studio arts courses and other special activities for all ages.

Our First Sundays Free series (October through May) has something for everyone, including free admission to the galleries, art-making, and entertainment.

Visitors can learn more about the Clark and activities designed especially for young visitors on our Families Page, which includes kids’ online activities and detailed information on family programs. Help share your love for learning and art by working with the Clark education team as a volunteer educator. Clark docents engage student and adult visitors with our collection and special exhibitions and support other education programs. Training sessions include lectures, discussions, group work, independent research, and presentations, while special outings and events for docents honor the rigorous commitment, care, and passion this program demands.  Feedback is provided to enhance individual practice and conformity with the Clark’s engagement approach. The docent program dovetails with the academic calendar, but opportunities to support the education team exist year-round. Please contact [email protected] to express interest and request information.
