Gutes Visualisierungstool, das leider noch immer ein paar kleine Macken hat

Vorteile:

Raster-Funktion ist sehr hilfreich, auch die Möglichkeit dokumentenweit ein festes Raster vorzugeben ist praktisch, gerade bei MehrNutzer-Betrieb

Nachteile:

Darstellungsunterschiede abhängig von Zoom-Stufe (je nach Zoom-Stufe erscheinen Objekte optimal ausgerichtet oder verschöben)

Kommentare: Sehr gut, ist sehr nützlich für Abbildungen von Prozesslandschaften

Preis, sonst keine Nachteile zu bemängeln

Bewertung CBC

Kommentare: Visio ist über die Jahre sehr gewachsen und hat sich für den beabsichtigten Zweck (erstellung von Prozessfliessbilder u.ä.) bestens bewährt.

Vorteile:

Funktionalität, es gibt sonst keine vergleichbare Software

Nachteile:

Teuer und im Standard Windowspaket nicht enthalten

Brilliant tool

Kommentare: I really like the software, I use it to map out processes and workflows to build an understanding of how they work. It also helps me design my own processes.

Vorteile:

I love the ease of use and the drag and drop of graphics. You can create effective diagrams really quickly and easily.

Nachteile:

I'd like to see some help / info icons beside some of the icon sets. If like me you are new to the software, having a brief description of the icon use would be great.

One The best Diagram Tools out there.

Kommentare: I have been using this software for more than 5 years and the best thing about it is part of the Microsoft family the workflow of the Microsoft product is almost similar and I am pretty much ok with that and it doesn't affect the work I do with good software for my company.

Vorteile:

I Like Visio's adaptability! It differs from other software because of its capacity to efficiently organize, visualize, and layout complicated projects. With its many templates and shapes, I can enrich my presentation with specific drawings or papers while using underlying data points comparable to excel to properly map out our project goals - repeatedly demonstrating why this is such a crucial tool in today's business portfolio! By dividing difficult tasks into simpler ones and providing a range of comprehension levels for these graphics, this makes planning more approachable.

Nachteile:

Since purchasing Visio, Microsoft has made some really annoying adjustments. Instead of being easily adjustable by default, features like automated snap-to-route and object are significantly slower and heavier than it ever was. Additionally, instead of obeying the rules you specify, the connectors try to guess what you want, which makes workflow far more laborious than it has to be.

The transferability of "clip art" for my diagrams allow for an accurate depiction of the product we are trying to show.

Nachteile:

Some of the shared programs saved within Visio sometimes do not save properly causing a full start from scratch. 1-2 times out of 10. Still favorable for a great program

Kommentare: Without a doubt, Visio has remained a reference tool in process diagramming for service companies, manufacturing, and in general, for all those organizations that need to represent their operation in diagrams based on standard rules. Since it maintains the concept of design and use of most of the tools developed by Microsoft, we do not need to invest a lot of time and effort in the adoption of the platform.

Vorteile:

The use of the tool is quite simple and it is very easy to become familiar with its way of diagramming. The editor is extremely complete and there are multiple templates that we can use or adapt to our needs. The integration with other office tools allows us to incorporate our diagrams into text documents, presentations and share our designs with the rest of the organization.

Nachteile:

It is an excellent diagramming platform, which has been maintained over time, incorporating innovative integrations with more recent and collaborative applications, which allows it to ensure its validity for much longer.

Easy to use for IVR Design & Flow chart

Kommentare: Nearly 1.6 years of experience with Visio. Majorly used for IVR design & flow charts.

Vorteile:

Most of the shapes are default available. It's like drag and drop method and connection is also easy. Supporting to add notes, text, pictures, and comments. off-page reference is also supported. export as PDF or Visio.

Nachteile:

Sometimes connecting two shapes will be more difficult.

It was a great solution but today is a bit obsolete

Kommentare: It helps me a lot with the network diagrams and the org charts.

Vorteile:

For me, the most useful functionalities are the network diagram and the org chart. Both of them are great, very useful.You can add devices to the library in order to draw a very professional network diagrams

Nachteile:

There are other solutions that optimizes the layout and the connection links and with Visio you have the resize everithing and the connections are a nightmire when your diagram/map/chart is more sophisticated.

Visio is an amazing tool for getting ideas from brainstorming to paper

Kommentare: I like Visio, I use it often after meetings, and brainstorming sessions, it is not cheap but better than the online versions.

Vorteile:

Is easy to use, and you need no manuals in order to make it work great, if you look around a bit you can get to do amazing stuff quickly.

Nachteile:

There is not "QA" on templates, you can import anything and Visio will try to make it work, which sometimes is great and sometimes is very bad.

Time saving for Diagram develop

Kommentare: Amazing! You can create diagrams so easy among other apps that are less intuitive and make spend a lot of time customizing.

Vorteile:

The way you can create the flowcharts and diagrams so fast and easy, it saves you time you can spend in other tasks.

Nachteile:

The price is a little bit excesive but it is worth the purchase.

Great tool to draw Flowcharts , Process flows and Network drawings!!

Kommentare: I'm using Visio for my daily work when I need to draw flowcharts, business process and more importantly for network drawings and rack drawings. Early I was using Ms word and powerpoint for these but both of them were unable to deliver what I want so I switch to Ms Visio. Visio is a great tool to get a professional quality output without much effort. GUI is very easy to use and templates cover most of the daily business requirements and even easy to find many templates online and use it. I'm using original stencils for all my drawings ( Network and Rack diagrams )which gives me perfect output. So overall I really recommend MS Visio...

Vorteile:

Easier to learn and use it even for a beginner who never used Visio or any proper software. The richness of the templates in the library and even the possibility to download additional templates as per your requirement. Available many stencils with most of the brands (HP, Cisco, Dell, etc.) when using to draw network diagrams.

Nachteile:

You need to pay separately for license costs even you have Office Professional or Office 365. Need to convert to PDF or another version to view it , if you don't have Visio to see it.

A great product to visualize process, organizations and information.

Kommentare: We have developed a series of structures, visual solutions and solutions for our procedures and business hierarchies.

Vorteile:

This tool is very easy to use, many features are pretty intuitive, there are countless techniques and procedures, looks like it was built to modeling structures, you can easily export it to a PDF format, and there is a vast library of icons and elements.

Nachteile:

The main problem with this tool is that the license can be expensive if you are a small company, you cannot share your work to be edited if the other part / customer does not have a Visio license, not included in the suite of Microsoft Office, if you have a very detail or heavy drawing it may crash, and there is no version for MacOs.

Best design and drawing tools for all Business

Kommentare: I am using Visio from my college. I use Visio on my every projects and assignments that required design and drawing. My first preference is Visio and if visio unable to complete my requirements then I useAutoCAD.

Vorteile:

Visio is one of the best products design by Microsoft. Specially I am using visio for my electical work like circuit design, floor electical installation model, machine flow analysis etc. I am 200% satisfied and always love to use for similar projects.

Nachteile:

There is no demerites as far I know. It ia simple to use, though some features are not avaialble while comparing with CAD but it is ok in this price. Overall it has limited features but with excellent quality.

The best flowcharting and diagram package out there

Kommentare: I design software interfaces and algorithms within the application and find it so easy to get my ideas down diagrammatically in order to turn them into real applications

Vorteile:

Flexibility - easy to use for a multitude of tasks, from flowcharting to network design, swim lanes to manage teams, and so easy to view on mobile devices too with a plugin to view on the web, and an app to download both on Android and iOS!

Nachteile:

Well, I would love Visio to be added to the Microsoft 365 system and be available as a editable app on iOS and Android, not just a read only application. For a new user it can be quite tricky to get started, but it is very simple to pick up

The standard for our charting needs

Kommentare: Within our agency environment Visio is the only application we trust to deliver all of our charting and diagramming requirements within the Business Analysis team. It allows non-creative users to deliver competent charts for reports without relying on the Design team. The app is highly dependable and has developed to support new use cases over the years under Microsoft's parentage.

Vorteile:

- The standard application that allows charts to be authored and distributed across the agency and our clients - Flexibility to create any of our charting needs, from flow charts to sitemaps and hosting architecture diagrams - Simple interface to commence learning the capabilities - Ability to download additional stencils for many charting needs which aren't available out-of-the-box

Nachteile:

- Can seem expensive for casual and intermittent users - User interface can seem alien for less-familiar users who are used to tools such as PowerPoint - If the requirement is for a specific task such as drawing up a website sitemap Visio is hugely complicated in comparison to specifically focussed apps

Simple, for better or for worse

Kommentare: Overall I love Visio. I use it for every single one of my projects alternating between using it and using AutoCAD. Both programs have their own benefits. But Visio is still useful and helpful to me in its own right.

Vorteile:

Visio's greatest feature is that it is unbelievably easy to pick up and start working ona design with little to no experience. As an engineer I find it incredibly intuitive. The preset stencils that many companies in our industry use is very helpful as well.

Nachteile:

On the flip side of its ease of use, the simplicity of the program takes away from the amount of tools and resources that are embedded in the program. There are features that other designer programs have that Visio is just not able to match because of its ease of use.

Visio turned my daily diagraming an enjoyable journey

Kommentare: My overall experience with Visio is great. I can always count on it for different purposes, from a quick diagram for a presentation to high-detailed flow graphs of a project I'm working on.

Vorteile:

Visio interface is clean and very easy to use. I appreciate these features in every piece of software I use. When it comes to diagraming, Visio is by far the best choice.

Nachteile:

Sometimes it is required to turn on developer options to access some features that should be easily accessible in general option menu, such as editing margins.

Very capable diagramming tool

Kommentare: Overall a very feature rich diagramming tool. Overall sharing / file management was NOT Good. which was the dealbreaker for me.

Vorteile:

Overall Visio can do everything you need to in regards to diagramming. There are hundreds of shapes icons, tips, tricks etc... I spent 6+ months getting familiar with the program and once you have the hang of it you really can make amazing diagrams and visuals. I really think you should be on the latest visio as there are older versions which default settings make all your diagrams look very old and outdated. But the newer version of Visio does have better visuals/colors etc which make your diagrams look more modern. There are lots of keyboard shortcuts which are amazingly helpful, only downside is you have to learn them, which does take time.

Nachteile:

I found Visio is clunky and hard to learn, and some of the features they tout like 'auto-align' I could never find useful. it always messed up the order / arrangement of the diagram. Also the color themes and fonts tend to make the diagrams look a little outdated. Especially if you are on an older version of Visio. Anything earlier than 2019 I think has default settings which made my diagrams look like they were made in the 90s. The other thing which was a PAIN is sharing diagrams, it makes it really difficult to keep a source of truth diagram and constantly be exporting it to PDF, always wondering who has the latest version etc... O365 should fix this, but I always found copies getting saved to my local and just exasperating the problem. More than once I had to make the same changes to a diagram cause I misplaced or lost an updated version. That is my biggest pain with visio, and is ultimately why I switched to Lucid Chart.

Nachteile:

Not big problems, but sometimes I find it difficult to make changes to a large scheme that includes many shapes and lines, and it becomes cumbersome at that time.
