For years there has been a concerted effort by Palestinian leaders and Muslim states to rewrite history and eradicate any Jewish connection to Judaism's holiest sites. This includes getting international bodies, like UNESCO, to validate historical revisionism. CAMERA rebuts an aide to UNESCO's Director-General, highlighting the organization's overt anti-Semitism. 
On 7/7/17, UNESCO's World Heritage Committee recognized the Old City of Hebron and the Cave of the Patriarchs, Judaism's second holiest site, as a Palestinian world heritage site endangered by Israel. While the Palestinian leadership and its Muslim allies have often engaged in historical revisionism to negate Judaism's legacy in the Jewish homeland, UN bodies such as UNESCO violate their own mission, as well as fact and history. 
On April 15, UNESCO, a United Nations organization charged with protecting cultural, religious and historic sites, adopted a historically absurd resolution ignoring Jewish ties to the holy religious site of the Temple Mount and the Western Wall area in Jerusalem's Old City
The Daily Show's two-part report on America's suspension of funding to UNESCO for admitting Palestine misinforms rather than informs. In the process, it reinforces ugly prejudices. 
An erroneous Associated Press statement this week that "Israelis and Palestinians have refused to hold any directs talks" is consistently contradicted by a year of AP articles which repeatedly demonstrate that Israel called for immediate, direct talks. 
Susan Cornwell's otherwise straightforward news account cited two far-left Jewish groups criticizing the U.S. de-funding of UNESCO and omitted statements, such as that by the mainstream Conference of Presidents, that applauded U.S. action.
