Papua New Guinea (PNG) has been pursuing a range of development goals in recent years. These include improvements to transport infrastructure, renewable energy, health, water and other urban infrastructure, and public sector management. The Government of PNG has also placed emphasis on environmental sustainability, private sector development, gender equity, and knowledge management.
The country partnership strategy, 2016-2020 for PNG is aligned with the government’s Development Strategic Plan 2010-2030, the National Strategy for Responsible Sustainable Development, and the country’s medium-term development plans.
