Every stage of the British Travel Awards voting process; from the design, security and implementation of the online voting software to scrutiny of the results is overseen and audited by Deloitte LLP, a leading accountancy practitioners in the travel industry sector. On the Voting Form Preview page http://britishtravelawards.com/vfp.php you will find a guide on how to complete the voting form and browse the various categories without the necessity to register. Under each category you will find a selection of companies that would like your vote. If your preferred company isn't listed, there is an alternative answer box in each category where you can enter their name. To vote visit: http://www.britishtravelawards.com Don't be put off from voting for a small independent tour operator if you see them matched against one of the major brands. When voting closes the companies in each category will be segregated into three groups based upon the number of customers they carry and receive their award based upon the highest number of votes cast within each group. How the listing process works: During March and April 2012 travel companies and tourism organisations were invited to register for listing in the various categories on the consumer voting form. These 75 categories span a comprehensive range of holiday and travel products.Everything from package holidays by type and destination, through companies providing individual holiday components; flights, accommodation, ferries, car hire, transfers, airport parking, foreign exchange, travel insurance and attraction tickets, to travel information publishers, travel websites and tourist attractions. Each category was capped at a maximum of 15 entries and no company was allowed to enter one brand in more than five categories. The applications were reviewed by the British Travel Awards Academy - a group of industry professional, media pundits and financial analysts - who determined which companies should be listed based upon a number of factors. Principally: the amount of product the company or brand currently offers in that category. Where relevant, the number of votes cast for the company or brand in the corresponding category in the British Travel Awards 2011. For the 2012 British Travel Awards, 328 brands and organisations have been successful in being nominated by the British Travel Awards Academy to be listed on the voting form. If your preferred company is not listed in any category an alternative answer box is available for you to type in their name.
