The Left seeks to destroy all that is good, beautiful and true. The Left wants you to have allegiance only to the Left. For this reason, they virtue signal, including by endorsing whatever perversity and destructive behaviors they can. The Left loves drugs, miscegenation, pedophilia/"pedosexuality," divorce, abortion, cruelty, tasteless food, vandalism, and has an apparent fascination with bodily excretions. Bill Nye has decided that he wants to signal hard for acceptance in this group because right now American media has decided that it has lost middle America -- Mom and Pop in the heartland -- and so they want to make their money off a smaller group, the Left-brainwashed herd who happen to consume more media per capita than functional people. This will not work for them as the recent boycotts of ESPN, Starbucks, Target and the NFL have demonstrated.

You ask a great question. In a nationalist world order, each civilization is autonomous, but this does not preclude cooperation internationally, as happened in the past with nationalist countries. There are a number of possible options including the trade sanctions you mentioned, and escalating up toward war. Obviously we would hope to avoid that, so the best way to handle things would be to put pressure on the nation and its trading partners to encourage the activity to cease. At some level, however, our only workable plan is to command our own lands and have enough forest present to counteract pollution. One necessary corollary to this would be to end all humanitarian activity in the third world in order to encourage lower populations so that jungles and forests could be preserved. In my view, most of these environmental problems will sort themselves out as various states across the world collapse and their population growth slows as a result. It would be sensible for first world states to encourage this collapse by finding a way to trade among ourselves and make substitutes for anything rare that we need, so that we can let the rest of the world slowly collapse back to a more primitive state of technology and thus be less empowered to create environmental damage.
