Need your opinions! I’m getting everything kitted for my next project, which will be Forest Goddess from Mirabilia. Just need to finalize a fabric choice. I’m working from my stash, and this is what I’ve whittled it down to. What do you think?
Fabric Destash!

Ok, don’t get too excited, this is not for my cross stitch fabric! I used to do a lot of sewing, but not so much any more. So I decided it was high time to destash my hundreds of cuts of flannel, and various other fabrics I no longer have any use for. If anyone is interested, check out my listing on Etsy. I will be adding more every day until I finally get everything on there. I’m not kidding when I say I have hundreds of flannel prints. Last count was over 250, and there’s at least a yard available of each. 😉
The majority of the stash is flannel, but I will also be listing PUL (polyurethane laminate), sherpa, velour, fleece and various woven cottons.
Here’s a peek at my fabric closet so you can have an idea of what you will see listed:

Today, armed with a 40% off coupon and a gift card (Christmas present from my brother) I descended upon Michaels Craft Store like an avenging angel. I had a mission, and I would not accept failure. I would take no prisoners.
I would, however, spend a grand total of $8 on a mat cutting kit. I now have the ability to custom make my own mats for my completed cross stitch project! Granted, they will be fairly simple straight-edged mats with no curves or embellishments, but I will now be able to get bargain price, oddball sized frames at yard sales/Goodwill and not have to worry about the store bought ‘standard’ size mats fitting into. Plus, those plain rectangular cuts get boring after a while.
I hope to eventually graduate to curved cuts, but for now I’ll just try doing some interesting things with cutouts and corners. 🙂
Here’s my first effort!

At last!
I think I have settled on Forest Goddess as my next big Mira, but I will work on the Sweetpea Pixie and my RR outlines until I get the supplies together.

Moving right along with this one! Not too much left to go. After I finish her, I need to stitch the outlines for my two Round Robins that start in February/March. And then I need to decide if I want to do Adia or Forest Goddess next.
