Here's a one-stop option for book design. We will create both a text file and a cover file ready to print AND you will receive the two most popular eBook formats as well. Choose the fiction or non-fiction package. If your book (regardless of whether it is fiction or non-fiction) is straight text with chapter headers, choose the fiction package. If your book has any illustrations, bullet lists, tables, charts, subheadings or footnotes, choose the non-fiction package. In either package additional fees may apply for text and possibly for eBook conversion. Both packages are for paperback books, if you want a jacket an additional fee will be added.

Note: Two ISBNs are required for this package.

Package includes for text:

  • Email consultation with designer
  • Choose from 3 different standard text designs
  • Creation of title page
  • Creation of copyright page
  • Creation of table of contents (if needed)
  • Layout up to 256 pages of text with running heads and folios (page numbers) from your MS Word or WordPerfect document
  • One round of corrections (up to 20) for text and cover combined included. Additional corrections at $1.40 each and additional proofs (text or cover) beyond second proof @ $49 each.
  • Final PDF files for offset or digital printing*

Package includes for cover:

  • Email consultation with designer
  • Choice of one of 12 different basic styles
  • Choice of any cover image available on www.DepositPhotos.com or hi-res image supplied by author
  • Insert author photo supplied by author as digital file
  • Insert bar code from author supplied ISBN
  • One round of corrections (up to 20) for text and cover combined included. Additional corrections at $1.40 each and additional proofs (text or cover) beyond second proof @ $49 each.
  • Final PDF files for offset or digital printing*

Package includes e-Files:

Once you have approved your text and cover files, we can convert those to an ePub file. Upon approval of that file (which you may view on any eReader or through a software program), we will provide you with a mobi file (for the kindle). This mobi file is a courtesy and we do not make changes to it without fees once you have approved your ePub file.

*NOTE: Our Design Service is offered exclusively to author/publishers who print books with Self Publishing, Inc.. No print ready files will be sent to customer until after books are printed. Once books are printed, you can request a copy of the print ready PDF files, created by us for a small fee of $49. Complete application files are also available after books are printed for an additional $149. You can request a copy of your print ready files, prior to the first printing, for an additional $495 per file (so text and cover would be $990.)

  • One PDF proof for proofreading
  • 1 round of corrections (up to 25 corrections). Additional corrections $1.40 each
  • Final PDF proof for OK prior to sending file to printer
  • Final PDF files for offset or digital printing*
  • Can be upgraded to Deluxe Non-Fiction text layout
