Julie Merrett, a volunteer at Shapwick National Nature Reserve in the beautiful Avalon Marshes in Somerset has been nominated for an Octavia Hill "Volunteer Wildlife Hero" award. She has worked tirelessly for several years now helping to enthuse local young people and get them involved in the natural world about them. Her "young wardens" include some talented young naturalists and her family activity days are always a huge success. Please follow the link and give her your support by voting for her.
