Everything started with the passion of our current CEO and Founder, Santosh Singh who always dreamed to create something that would make a difference in the world and bring his contribution. His words express the initial history perfectly:
“After graduating from the Army Institute of Technology, Computer Science branch, I got my first job in Infosys Technologies Limited through campus placement where I worked for British Telecommunication. Even if ‘my thing’ were the technical things I was rather passionate more by core business. After a while I understood that there is a great chance to fail at something you don’t like, so you might as well try to do what you really like and passion will bring your much desired success in the end. A key point in my life and career was the meeting of Mr. N.R. Narayana Murthy, the founder of Infosys, who through his attitude gave true wings to my dreams.
On the same day I opened an account on Scriptlance.com (the future Freelancer) with the user name SonuInfy and in the first week I got a mammoth order for only $10 from Mr. Sean. I did not complain and put all my energy to work and we became friends since that moment. Even now I smile remembering those ‘good times’ and I am thankful for having such great experiences with wonderful people.
In only 3 months I became one of the best and most wanted WordPress and CSS developers on Scriptlance.com. I enjoyed my independence and was really proud of my accomplishments, and in 2010 with butterflies in my stomach I took on the next step and created Ommune in December 2010.
