I woke up this morning a little inspired by this week’s Illustration Friday’s theme: Poem. I think is a little odd the fact that the most precious or lovely drawings (or I love the most) always arrive late at night, or early in the morning. Please, excuse the “watermarks bands” but I had to use them as “life savers” for my illustrations. I have found out that some people have been using my images without my permission, and what is even worst, they print it and use them to label products for sale GOOD NEWS!: I found out they are not for sale, but for gifts, what a relief. I think I exaggerated a little, but it is better to be aware. But who knows, we can’t control internet. It is a risk we all take. This is very disappointed, it is ILLEGAL. I really love and appreciate when people let me know they like my drawings, send me happy emails with precious messages. They brighten my day. Specially when they let me know that I make them happy somehow with my illustrations. Some ask me first when they want to use it for their blogs (and I really flattered by it, really) I feel grateful and thankful because they invite me to their world. But unfortunately not everyone is like that, and that is when it becomes a problem.
My apologies for talking about it, I was a little annoyed when I found out. Everything is alright. Well at least the one I found as labels for products they were gifts. The person doesn’t know I discovered it, so I am going to leave it like that. Like everyone said at the commentary box, it’s a compliment, now I feel bad about it. But good thing is that I always recognize it. But truly, this is something I would not do, and expect people to act the same and respect as well.
And to write about something happier, I am glad to introduce “The little bambinas” (above and a close-up with tips of color). I am planning to color them in watercolor and also in digital (later). I am still working on a custom work and school textbooks. It is a good thing that I am finally finding ways to feed my artistic soul, and making time to create the things I love most. I am starting to slowly develop a line of cute dolls and make postcards, prints and many many useful products from it, in the future. I hope you enjoy them as much as me!
The words that better describe the scene above:
“It doesn’t matter if it rains, if the road is long, if the mountain is too high, we will get to THE END”.
Thanks for your LOVE everyone! Oh my this was a long post indeed!!
p.s. The Brilliant Kathryn Howard (scribblesk) gave me the “Thinking blogger AWARD” I promise I will be back with the 5 nomination of bloggers that makes me think. THANKS KATHRYN!
