Dagen startet med at treåringen sov to timer lenger enn vanlig.

7/8 km i passe tempo.

English:
Today is mothers day, and I got to sleep in and eat chocolate hearts in bed! The roses appeared already on friday. What a guy! And he is italian, my oh my I am a lucky girl!

Went to work to write on my master thesis for 5 hours and went home. Walked to and from, that means another 7/8 km in my work out book:)

Then me and my girl made healthy muffins and home made juice. The juice was amazing, the muffins pretty boring. Anyway a very good day and I am proud of myself.

Have a wonderful evening!

“Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment.”
“It is better to conquer yourself than to win a thousand battles. Then the victory is yours. It cannot be taken from you, not by angels or by demons, heaven or hell.”
“It is better to travel well than to arrive.”
“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.”
“The only real failure in life is not to be true to the best one knows.”
“The way is not in the sky. The way is in the heart.”
“There is nothing more dreadful than the habit of doubt. Doubt separates people. It is a poison that disintegrates friendships and breaks up pleasant relations. It is a thorn that irritates and hurts; it is a sword that kills.”
“Thousands of candles can be lighted from a single candle, and the life of the candle will not be shortened. Happiness never decreases by being shared.”
“We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.”
“What we think, we become.“

Today I ran 4 km on a tread mill, in the middle of the day, in my work time. Good job Tuva! I am lucky to have the oppurtunity to do that one hour evey week, luxury!
I am suppose to run a marathon in september, so I should really consider trying to run a bit before that…I might even enjoy it in the end.
I even ran outside in rhe snow the other day.

Here’s to running!

And homemade pizza!

Bloggpausen er over.

I LOVE to travel. I could probably do it weekly, to think if there is such a job that can take me to the world, just for a day or two, then I can go home again.. no biggie!

I love toarrive at airports and trainstations I’ve never been before, smile to an old man. Buying a local wheat bun with unexpected content. Strolling along a dusty road and suddenly reveals itself behind a bush. Be an adventurer and feel small in a big world. Have the courage enough to ask for directions, even though both the woman and I ask and myself is knowing that we do not understand each other’s language.

Lying on a beach, hiking in a jungle, boil a cup of local tea, buying vegetables at a market. Watch a sunset from a rooftop. Screaming in a cold shower, pack the bag and not knowing what really awaits.

The world is here (for now), important to be familiar with it and take care of it. Therefore, I also buy carbon credits. It’s the least I can do, when I first run off and leave plenty of fuel along the clouds.
“It’sa question of discipline, the Little Prince Told Me appears on. When you’ve finished washing and dressing Each morning, you must eating your planet.” Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

That’s it. You have to get up in the morning with the intention that the day will be one of the happy ones. You have to work for pleasure and not sit and wait for someone to hand over happinesd. Take matters into your own and work for it yourself.

Francis of Assisi said something similar: to make a marriage happy is like running a farm. You have to start fresh every day.
and it applies not only marriage, but motherhood and farherhood also!

Do not expect that the world makes you happy, do the job yourself.

If we all have the intention that the world is a happy place to be at and that it is possible to be nice to strangers, give of ourselves, be available and happy – think how nice the world had become.

So what can we do that morning to have a touch of happiness and not just stress and chaos?

How to create a space for good conversation round the dinnertable and how to smile when 2yearold is as stubborn as only a 2yearold can be?

I believe a breather, at least for me. A breather with the mouth closed. Just sit there and enjoy breakfast, leave the idea of reaching that particular bus or train and let the minutes pass. Actually in africa the time does not run, it comes..

After breathing some seconds, I could mention three positive things that will happen that day and rejoice in it.

I can speak in a normal voice instead of raising it.
I can lower expectations and let the chaos absent by providing clothes the day before, set the clock for 5 min before, so I can stretch a few minutes before the 2yearold requires me to wake up.

I can try to stop time some moments when I would rather stress off to get to the kindergarten. I could enjoy the little hands in my while chugging off to kindergarten. We can stop and watch the stars if that whats the 2yearold wish to. What would we lose well if we pause a few seconds and le the heart breahte during the day?
Probably nothing in the world!

All are equal and everyone has the right to work for their own happiness (as long as you not do so at the expense of others)

I think I have a kind of balance in how I view the world, sometimes I think it’s coming looking for me, other days I see the angel’s wing on everyone.

Not so easy always to be neutral and consider the world without the “spectacles”.

But I have a belief that the world acts back the way you behave towards it, and if you have a positive view of the world, it is more likely to get something good back.

When the shepherd boy in the alchemist says / thinks this sentence, he’s just come to Tangier and was being robbed by a peer, while a coffee-owner tries to warn him. The shepherd boy first of all do not understand because of language problems, but also because he chooses to see the peer as a friend and not as the thief he is. He did not think he would be robbed.

That’s probably the case with most of us. We see the world in a slightly different angle than what is actually reality. What the reality is I am not getting into, that will be taking all night to read, but I think we often get something nice back if we add the goodwill rather than if we are sour and believe that everyone is looking for us to keep us down.
Right?
-Sometimes they still will be coming after us, but when that happens; just smile!

I have just finished an exam now about social responsibility and ethics in business. Incredibly exciting and relevant today.
Norsk innlegg finner du her: hjelpmegselv.blogg.no.
I find it incredibly sad that we consume more of the world now than ever, and never has the wealth been more wrongly distributed. We are tiny rich people have too much of everything and also have so little respect that we make chaos over some butter .. How vulgar is not that we have access to most information, can afford personal trainers and can buy exactly what we want, but still get fattest?

For comparison, I know of families in Tanzania who earn only 50 dollars a month and they have many children. They are starving, but is far from the poorest in the world. They have a job, they have a small house with a roof, they live their lives as best they can.

Then you have all the refugees, those who are raped on a trip home from the well or on the run, those who see their mothers being shot down in front of their eyes, some already have HIV at birth. These will never be able to live like us, never!

It is up to us rich people to override this misguided ship called Earth in the right direction. The rainforest is cut down even if it is made laws and rules to avoid it. Factories pollute a lot, and much more than the permissible limits, why? Because they can, they pay someone to look the other way and presto;  we have a timber plant in the rainforest and the opium factory out in the countryside in Afghanistan.

Food production is indeed in the wrong field … eg poor little brother Mexico that produce soy on a large scale for import into the United States, so that the cows in the United States will get fatten up a little faster than if they ate the grass, so they can be harvested more quickly and the big guys can earn even more ..

Chickens living on grain production of soybean that is planted in the cut down rainforest, so they grow fat in 30 days in a dark room until they (often) are irresponsible killed and sold to us health-conscious Norwegians and others.

BUT THERE IS HOPE!

As a country we can claim better laws againts corruption, but politics gets in the way. So it is perhaps not all the way to go.
We earthlings as individuals must teach our children about ethics, what is right and what is wrong and what is terribly wrong. We must teach our children that the world is huge, and it is full of solutions for both cancer riddles and other puzzles, we can find the answer to most if we use the resources in the right way.

This our soil, we just need to get better at taking care of, it can go only one way and that is to come. So march out to save the world

Bær over med meg!

English translation will follow ..

This is my new blog. I have another blog I have worked with for 1.5 years. It’s called hjelpmegselv.blogg.no and I have had a lot of fun with it. I thought I would start to blog in both English and Norwegian, so this is an attempt at it. Bear with me:)

The aim of lovelivenow is to create more motivation for change in our lives. I want us all to become better at taking care of each other, to unwind and find out what is important to live a good life with a wonderful content.

I hope this blog can inspire you to want to take more responsibility and not the least responsibility for the environment, buy less clothing and food, eat less meat, be aware of more choices and live healthier, both mentally and physically. We are alle good people that will be even better,  we all are rough diamonds with joy and hope in our hearts.
