Morgan Fitzsimons is a British artist, illustrator and author. Born in the North of England in 1939, she has been drawing and painting since she could hold a brush. Morgan studied at the LJMU, gaining her NDD, A.T.D and BA.

We’re back with an inspirational post and our third project for Rainbow Craftykari! What a delight:)!
Today we’re here to inspire you with a shabby chic layout and with Valentine’s day nearing, we though love would be a fabulous theme to work with!
Here’s the layout that we created for this one!
For this layout we chose one 12×12 sheet with a pastel pink and floral elements as our base. We picked various sizes of pattern papers for our layering. If you notice this layout is a three picture layout- one big and two small. We assembled our papers and photos and made rough marks once happy with the arrangement. We then made cut marks on the top right and bottom left of the page, tore it and folded it like draping it. We distressed all our edges with distress inks. In the peep through places, we added another piece of paper underneath. We mounted our base piece onto white cardstock. We distressed the edges of all our paper pieces and photos for the vintage look. We then chose our chipboard pieces, painted them gold and added them onto our layout, some above and some peeking from beneath a picture. We added some texture using modelling paste and a stencil around our arrangement. Once content we adhered everything down in place. We then adhered a few flowers going with our layout.
Its pastel, its subtle, its romantic and its love!
Since we were making a pocket page, we decided to create one on the theme of Family and particularly memories of a vacation long time ago.

Lindy’s Stampgang Sprays- Marigold Yellow Orange, Sassy Sapphire, Prima Donna Purple, Hi Maintenance Magenta, Plumeria Pink, Ocean Breeze Blue

Ribbon Distress Ink- Chipped Sapphire- To distress our sentiment.
What cardstock.
Step 1:
Die cut the corrugated sheet and a piece of white cardstock with the tag die. Begin scrapping off paper from the corrugated sheet at places.
Step 2:
Apply white crackle paste through a stencil to add textures and dry.
Step 3:
In the remaining spots apply white heavy gesso randomly covering the brown.
Step 4:
Start playing with colours. Add randomly and stop when you feel good :)!
Step 5:
Assemble all the die cut elements, gauge, jute piece, lace and sentiment and stick them when you’re happy.
Step 6:
Add some flowers! Mount it on the white cardstock tag and tie some ribbons to complete your tag!

Today we’ve made a layout depicting our Christmas Traditions. So for years now, putting up a christmas tree has been our tradition and our tree is also 18 years old. We’ve kept our ornaments also so safely, that we never shop for them each year :-D! And another tradition has always been playing the game secret Santa which is fun😊
For this layout, our main embellishments are hand made! Mini Crochet circles(we have put a picture underneath) made by Neeru Mahajan (sister and aunt) , which we stitched together to create abstract embellishments. Why abstract? Because we ourselves can interpret them as flowers, candies, cookies,hat and so we wonder what you interpret them to be :)!
Our theme was inspire by the More Than Words December Challenge and our Colours by DCWV December challenge and Lindy’s Stamp Gang December Colour Challenge!
