Japan Marks 6th Anniversary of March 11 Quake, Tsunami

Tokyo, March 11 (Jiji Press)--The Japanese government held a ceremony on Saturday to mark the sixth anniversary of the 9.0-magnitude earthquake and subsequent massive tsunami that mainly hit the Tohoku northeastern region of the country.

Minamisanriku, Miyagi Pref., March 11 (Jiji press)--People who lost family members in the March 2011 earthquake and tsunami gathered on Pacific coastal areas in northeastern Japan to pray for their loved ones on Saturday, the sixth anniversary of the large-scale disaster.
