I took my laser apart and cleaned all of the scum off of it and I see no signs of corrosion. I have cut about 100 record clocks. I have not cut any since you told me this but i wanted to let you know. I think that if you have enough downdraft from exaust you will be alright. but just to be sure i am going to try cutting these with a CNC router instead.

It took like 3 weeks to build, I actually started a couple days after the tables and desks contest posted.

I actually thought about that. Like maybe a cell phone vibrate motor in all 4 corners or something. I did not add that function to this one. My kids just draw lines up and down all the way across to "erase" it
The original idea was to make it so it would do designs, but I honestly did not want it running all of the time. I thought that being able to make a design and let it stay and be able to look at it would be better. I thought that just "draw" and let it sit still was better keeping with the "zen" theme that I was going for.
You are absolutely right, Thank you. I added another step, step 16. Yes it is driven by magnets. really though thank you for the heads up

That is awesome, I would love to see pictures of it on completion
why, reading by instructables of course, lol.really though, it is easy, start by doing an easy program like blink an LED. But there are quite a few good "ibles" out there for learning arduino.I would also highly recommend the arduino class. just click the "classes" icon on the top of the screen.
View Instructable »I have built a few bluetooth speakers. This board on amazon. http://amzn.to/2fvUJRhis VERY easy to hook up. It is a little more powerfull than you need at 50w x 2 but this one is really easy to hook up and use. It will take any voltage from 8v dc to 25v dc. so you can use a wide array of batteries. here is an easy one that you could use. http://amzn.to/2gCxqSc It is a 12v battery pack that is prewired so that makes it easyhope that helps
