Sunset watch at Mount Saint Helens

I arrived in Portland on a Monday, not expecting much to happen soon as being on planes and cars for 17 hours usually leads to passing out the moment you arrive. Luckily, this time it wasn’t like that. Wide awake I arrived, had lunch and unpacked. Lets meet some of my friends, David said, and I said ok, why not. I couldn’t have known that these friends would become my friends that same day and that we would hang out almost every day. I’m gonna miss all of them when I leave on Monday and I will cherish trips like the one you see above, driving up to Washington for a sunset, walking around, taking pictures of each other and just enjoying nature. Mount Saint Helens is one of these magical places with volcanic landscapes and shapes and a sunset like a painting.

On the road again

Hi there! Its been a little silent these past 2 years. Work has been good and as this is my personal space, I want to have and take time for it. This year has been all about traveling and taking time off so far, so I feel, with almost half the year gone, its time to share stories again. Stories of places, of people, my journey through the world. I’m currently in Portland, Oregon and I’m very much in love with the people and landscapes around here. The pictures above are all taken here in Pacific Northwest. I’m visiting my friend and fellow photographer David Alvarado, with whom I will be traveling Europe for a month starting next week. So aside from more of Oregon, Washington and Vancouver CA, you’ll get to see stories about the Northern Sea, Copenhagen, Germany, Switzerland and the Netherlands. To safe me the trouble of translating everything, I will keep this blog in English, as this is the language I speak on most of my travels. So stay with me and I hope you’re as happy as me to have me back here!

Love,

Ailine
