    You cherry-picked the polls there since when Americans were specifically asked about Obama’s policy toward Israel, 45% said he was striking the right balance and 22% said he favored the Palestinians too much. When asked about US policy wrt Israel, Americans think it’s fine!

    If I had a bunch of POC tell me something was racist, I would listen...not argue. Hope people would listen if a bunch of LGBT folks said something was homophobic/transphobic. Too many people (in every party) don’t take time to listen when Jews saying something is anti-Semitic

    People on the left usually understand that you don’t use racist tropes when talking about African-Americans The hard-left doesn’t accord Jews the same consideration And facts can be presented in a racist fashion: eg the “black crime” tag on Breitbart could catalog true stories

    And yes, the piece makes clear this is about *Jewish* money: These are arguments no one on the left would make about black people. People on the left don’t ask why white people can’t call black people “n***a” even though black folks do in private conversations

    I’ve now determined that the thread Ilhan quoted is a lie. The candidate in question raised over $1M in campaign contribution. The $5,000 from a pro-Israel donor did not make or break the campaign. She easily could have rejected it:

    It turns out that shortly before this, had accused of making antisemitism claims in bad faith (i.e. for Israel’s sake) As @scraubd notes, being the “good" anti-Zionist Jew earned JW no credibility - even their concerns about antisemitism were dismissed
