Finally stopped crashing constantly! I was finally able to access device administrators on my Nexus 5 and disable Gmail as an administrator. This allowed me to restore Gmail to its factory version and then reinstall the latest update... And now after 3 months of endless crashes (even when using other apps), Gmail is working again thank the lord

Great app, but... Displaying messages only as conversations makes my life much harder, because I can not untangle messages I need to save from the ones I don't. Many times, unrelated messages are tangled together only because of identical subject. Why we do not have an option to switch this annoyance off and not having to use a second e-mail client to save individual messages?

bad..just bad after updating, the user interface seems nice but the function is total disaster. There is no "add account" button, push notification is not working, the option to change from conversation to each mail is not available too and when refreshing, 8/10 incoming emails are not listed on the phone inbox. It is strange and also bothers me so much because my job need me to read emails wherever it comes. please fix it!

Samsung Galaxy S4 (i9506) Android 4.4.2 █ Reverting to 6.10 █ Abysmal lag when typing █ Can't start text-selection by double-tapping a word █ Moving text-selection dots on the quoted text makes selection jump all around the mail, unusable █ New mail quotation (3-dots) is simpler, but not user-friendly! Deleting quoted text was one tap away, now it's one long-press AND a tap away… At least make the 3-dots show a menu on tap for both "show quoted text" and "delete quoted text"

Does Its Job Well! The app does its job for which we download it. It syncs well even in slow connection and all your necessities are available at the fingertip. However, many a times I found that although deleting mails from the inbox using Gmail app, it doesn't get reflected and need to redo it on the web. If this is taken take of, I will be the happiest! Still, it is better than the rest :)

Super Great Very Useful The best app ive installed in my phone i absolutely love it. Its awesome, super fun, entertaining and ive spent so much of my time using this app that im going insane with tons of terrific fun . Ive met new people and got in touch with family members that i havent seen in years. I suggest this app should be installed to every phone. There are no adds or bug's its totally great. You must try it

Winding me up On the whole a nice app BUT I am fed to the back teeth of emails being sent to Spam. Keep telling it that Amazon is not Spam but it keeps sending it there! There are lots of other examples of this happening too. Reluctantly I may have to change my email app if this does not get sorted.

Not very good as a primary interface I'd give this at least 4 stars but it seems like a lot of features available through the website are missing in the app. I would much prefer to use the app as my primary email interface but it's just too simplified. I can't seem to do things like filter and by extension select all in filter results, apply themes, or access advanced mail settings like pop/imap or importing. The main reason I give it as many stars as I have is because it's fast, and loads emails quickly even on 2G cell service.

5 star yes but... Ok so this is fantastic, especially the combined inbox, but since the last update you have seemingly taken away the ability to delete emails before reading them. This means I have to click on each individual email to open it then delete it. You need to bring the box tick and delete thing back.

Simple and reliable but could be more faster Love the Gmail features just make it more compact and fast for the users using low end phones. Not the best?!? The app is very good but I have my WiFi on all the time and never turn it off and the thing is that the notifications or messages I have to get don't come till next week and when that week comes in have lime 84 messages and the ones I don't need it have to delete them but it takes so long because there is to much. What you should do is to make the people get their messages faster so how they didn't waste their time deleting over 100 messages. But the app is still very good.

Great app...but needs... I really appreciate this app and how useful it has been over the years, but where's the "select all" button?...so I can move or delete a bunch at a time. I can't tell you how annoying it is to have to deleted EACH AND EVERY EMAIL ONE BY ONE! I'll give the 5 starts when I see the "select all" button, because it will be a day to celebrate!! Thanks for making this a great app, now make it an awesome app!!

Still good, but need more features and be easier to use Icons aren't that obvious, and clicking some you can't change you mind. I'd say it'll be difficult for older users. I realise there's no rollover/speach bubbles, but maybe a chart tutorial of what everything do would be great!

More problems every update Hasn't worked right in a long time. Emails come in with no notifications and it dosent show that I have unread emails. Another nice thing would be to be able to turn off drafts, they just cause issues when they save a draft everytime you try to add a file to the email. Gets annoying and is totally unnecessary.

Best in business! Linking everything together was the best thing ever😎. G+, you tube, g mail, ...list just kicks on so much! Would be awesome to see more better updates. I sometimes feel updates are just wasting internet data. It says fixing few bugs.. but when it comes to many apps together.. it consumes hell lot of space! Would be awesome if the apps are made all mobile friendly by not eating up space, memory!

I can't able to access my non-Gmail accounts Couple of days ago when setting up email accounts from another server, there is used to be a Security Setting options in new email accounts where I can set SSL/TLS types and it worked. After Gmail App update that options is no more. Now I cannot login and add another emails because Certificate Not Valid and it stuck. Please revert back to the previous Gmail where I can add and login to my email server.

Bad Updates I updated tonight hoping it would fix a problem I've had since the last update. Didn't happen. After I type the first few lines of an email, the viewable portion on the screen moves up and down. It's extremely difficult to move the cursor where I need it to be, and word suggestions don't change when I do move the cursor or tap on a word I want to correct. Suggestions stay on the last word typed. Very disappointed.

Horrible update Ever since I updated Gmail (the latest update given) I have gone from using my email extensively to looking for other email options on my mobile device. This update is nothing short of a horrible mistake. It should never have been updated. It deletes words if I trying typing at a regular speed. It runs like turtle. It is not compatible with my auto caps that I have my phone set to. This app is a nightmare and I used to swear by it. I'll be looking for a new email app.

Bug Doesn't display subsequent messages from sender in a continuing conversation inspite of highlighting the new message on the primary inbox section. I open it only to see the messages I had sent before in the conversation. Doesn't get fixed even when I change the conversation settings in the main settings as well. Only the browser version works without this problem. Being a Built in app, I'm unable to uninstall this waste of a buggy app. Fix it or make it optional on the android.

Cant add/create labels & Can no longer view AOL thru this :-( spam folder now missing Cant add/create labels with the app. Can only do it on the computer. After update in Sept of 2015, I can no longer see the spam folder for my AOL account in labels, so I cant access it. ? :-/ ??? Please fix asap, thank you. ... oh, and yes, I already tried completely uninstalling the app, reloading it, and re setting up AOL on it, still no spam folder.

BEST EMAIL APP EVER!💜😊 I Love that I get my messages in my gmail if I lose my notifications on my browser I have my mind at piece! Cas I know my gmail has them very useful gmail & an other thing that's great about gmail u can have multiple gmail accounts that is so cool Gmail is the best Email app u can have. I just wish we could delete messages more than one at a time cas one at a time is hectic!! & I don't have a computer hope u can fix this on the browser's other than that I've never had an issue thank u gmail Team 👍👍✨

Google mail creating its own death? The app keeps asking me by popping up every 5 seconds to allow all permissions, which I don't want (just some few permissions). It makes the app unusable. Why should an email app have access to camera, microphone and so on?

It doesn't show the responses I get back from people once I email them... I can only see a little bit of what they wrote in the inbox (understandably), but once I click on an email and open it, I can't see any of their response. > I went ahead and restored my app to the 'factory version' of it, and now I can see emails better.
