EU launches space strategy

The EU has launched a new space strategy aimed at improving the way it deals with issues like security, climate change, transport, data economy and the management of natural disasters. "Access to space and cutting its costs are key elements," said EU commission vice president Maros Sefcovic. Plans are also under way to launch 30 satellites over the next 10 to 15 years.
